Privacy Policy
FIIP helps teams work straight from cloud storage. This page explains what we collect to run your account, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be read.
Who we are
FIIP is a product family, including FIIP Drive. FIIP is operated by Creative X Entertainment LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("CXE", "we", "us"). You can reach us at [email protected]. When this page says "FIIP", it means the apps, the website and the account service we run.
What we collect
- Account details. Your name and email address, and the name of your organization or team. If someone invites you to their team, we get your email address from them.
- A mobile number, only if you add one. It is optional. We use it for the texts described in Text messages and for nothing else.
- Your text replies and consent. If you turn on texts, we keep a record of your consent: when you gave it, the wording you agreed to, the number, and the IP address it came from. We also receive your replies, such as YES or NO to a device approval, or STOP.
- Your devices. The name of each device you connect (for example "Ana's MacBook Air") and the public key it uses to prove it is really that device. The private part of that key never leaves the device.
- Sign-in and security records. When you sign in or approve a device, we record the time, the IP address and the browser or app it came from. We use these to limit repeated attempts and to warn you about activity you did not start.
- Team and drive details. Which people and devices belong to your organization, the names of your drives, and who can use each one. We also keep the technical records needed to sync, such as which version of a file is current.
- Billing details, if you pay. Payments go through Stripe. We receive the plan, status and the last digits of the card. We do not receive or store full card numbers.
- Technical diagnostics. When the app hits an error, we receive an error report with details such as the app version, your device type and what failed. It is meant to help us fix the problem, not to carry your files.
Your files. The contents of your files are encrypted on your device before they are uploaded. FIIP never holds the keys that open them, so we cannot read what is inside them.
How we use it
- To run your account: sign you in, connect your devices, sync your drives and keep them available.
- To keep the service safe: confirm it is really you, approve new devices and spot misuse.
- To send the messages you asked for: sign-in codes and device approvals by email or text, and receipts if you pay.
- To help you when you write to us, and to fix errors.
We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising. We do not use your mobile number for marketing.
Who helps us run FIIP
We use these companies to provide the service. Each handles your information only to do the job listed, for us.
| Company | What it does for FIIP |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Stores the encrypted contents of your files, serves our websites and manages our domains. |
| Fly.io | Runs the FIIP gateway, the service your apps talk to. |
| Neon | Hosts the database that holds account, team and drive details. |
| WorkOS | Handles sign-in to your FIIP account. |
| Resend | Sends our emails, such as sign-in links. |
| Telnyx | Delivers our text messages to your phone. |
| Stripe | Processes payments. |
| Sentry | Receives error reports so we can fix problems. |
Our servers and these services are mainly in the United States.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people from harm, or as part of a merger, sale or reorganization of the business that runs FIIP, in which case this policy keeps applying to it.
All of the above excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. This information will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the text messaging services.
Text messages
FIIP sends text messages for two things only: one-time sign-in codes and requests to approve a new device. They are never marketing. You get them only after you add your mobile number in Account > Sign-in settings, tick the consent box, and confirm with a code we text you.
No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the text messaging services.
Telnyx, listed above, and the mobile carriers deliver our messages. They handle your number only to send them.
- To opt out, reply STOP (or UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT) to any message. You get one last text confirming you are unsubscribed, then no more. Reply START or UNSTOP to turn them back on.
- For help, reply HELP or INFO, or email [email protected].
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
See our SMS terms for the full program details.
Online tracking and Do Not Track
FIIP does not follow you across other websites or apps, and we do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Because we do not do that kind of tracking, a browser's Do Not Track signal does not change what we collect.
How long we keep it
- Account, team and device details stay while your account is open.
- If you remove your mobile number, we stop texting it and delete it from your account.
- We keep a record that you agreed to texts, and when you opted out, for as long as we need to show we honored your choice.
- When you close your account, we delete your account information within 30 days, except what the law or fraud prevention requires us to keep. Copies in our encrypted database backups expire within a further 30 days.
- When an organization cancels FIIP, its members can export its files for 60 days. The encrypted files are permanently deleted 67 days after cancelling.
Your choices and rights
- Add, change or remove your mobile number any time in Account > Sign-in settings.
- Stop texts any time by replying STOP.
- Ask to see, correct, export or delete your information by emailing [email protected]. We will confirm the request comes from your account before acting on it. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights, and we will honor them.
- We do not sell or share personal information, as California law defines those words, and have not done so in the past 12 months.
If you are in the EU or the UK
FIIP does not currently market to people in the EU or UK.
Creative X Entertainment LLC is the controller of your information. Our legal reasons for using it are:
- Our contract with you, to run your account, sync your drives and bill you.
- Our legitimate interests, to keep FIIP secure, prevent misuse, fix errors and keep records of your text consent.
- Your consent, for text messages. You can withdraw it any time by replying STOP.
- Legal obligations, such as keeping billing records.
Your account details are needed to provide FIIP. Your mobile number is optional. We are based in the United States and process your information there. We do not make decisions about you based only on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your information, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw consent. Email [email protected]. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live or work; in the UK, that is the Information Commissioner's Office.
Children, security and changes
FIIP is built for working professionals: you must be 18 or older to create a FIIP account, and FIIP is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.
We send your information over encrypted connections, and your file contents are encrypted on your device as described above. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise otherwise.
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
